What are image credits?

Credits enable you to use remove.bg for high-quality, full-resolution cutouts. You can use credits on remove.bg, via the remove.bg API, in our Windows / Mac / Linux app or Photoshop Extension.

Removing the background from 1 image requires 1 credit if you want to download it in high resolution. Preview images are free on remove.bg website and ¼ credit via the remove.bg apps and API. Preview is an image of up to 0.25 megapixels (e.g., 625 x 400).

High-resolution image supports a resolution of up to 50 megapixels (e.g., 5774 x 8660).

Subscriptions include a monthly budget of credits that you can use within that month (or roll over to the next month as long as you stay subscribed). Pay-as-you-go credits are valid for up to 2 years after the purchase.
